The area is bounded by latitudes 20° 30’ N and 20° 45’ N and longitudes 80° 40’ E and 80° 50’ E. The RP area is accessible throughout the year by N-S trending Rajnandgaon-Ambagarh-Chowki-Mohala road. The nearest railway station is at Rajnandgaon on Mumbai-Rajnandgaon-Raipur-Kolkata railway route. A network of motorable roads and cart tracks, connect to different places of the RP area. Some of the cart tracks are not accessible to vehicles in the rainy season due to the lack of bridges over streams and streamlets and is not densely forested. Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh State, is about 70 Km east of Rajnandgaon on Mumbai-Kolkata national highway and is approachable by air from Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai.
